We are thrilled to announce the opening of an Engineering Learning Community in Fall 2011! The community will prepare engineering majors for the challenges that await them in their program, as well as take advantage of activities and events that promote increased contact with faculty and staff of the School of Engineering. This community is a great support network for first year engineering majors.

Engineering Seminar
The first year experience (FYE) Engineering seminar (ENGR 1000) is taught by School of Engineering faculty who provide students with an introduction to the major, as well as to the University of Connecticut.

Additional Learning Community Options for Engineering Majors
EcoHouse (appeals to many Environmental Engineering majors)
Eurotech Learning Community (for Engineering majors interested in obtaining a double major in German Studies culminating in an Engineering Internship at a German Engineering firm)
Honors (all 1st-year Honors Program Engineering majors live in Buckley Hall)
Public Health House
WiMSE (Women in Math, Science & Engineering)
